WELCOME BACK!

Hide & Seek practice will resume Wednesday, January 25, from 6—7pm in S4. We will all meet together for the first rehearsal to get to know one another.

HAPPILY FOREVER AFTER

Knights! Castles! Princesses! Dragons! Join Princess Pride, Sir Brags-a-lot, and their curious band on an amazing trek in a very faraway land. When the carpenter from another kingdom brings the troubling news that their castle, is actually built on sand and will not withstand the coming storm, they hesitantly choose to follow him as he has promised to show them this “better Kingdom,”  and  assures them he’ll take them “all the way, and will never leave them.”

Encountering troubles, temptations, and some very funny characters along the way, ultimately their narrow road to the “Shining Kingdom” seems hopelessly blocked by the Dragon Doom. But the seemingly-simple Carpenter steps forward to fight the dragon on their behalf, and vows that “even if you hear that I have died slaying the dragon, don’t fear—my Father has promised I’ll be victorious, and see you safely home!”

There are 16 speaking roles and 5-10 non speaking roles available. Any of the roles may be played by a boy or a girl. Also, anyone not cast in a role will have opportunities for solos and to sing in the choir. Auditions will be announced on the first day of Hide and Seek rehearsal on January 25.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Do you have creative interests?  We would love to have a few more names to call on for assistance with tasks such as set construction and painting.  We will also need a few parents to work back stage during the show on May 7 to help with costume changes and possible set changes.

REGISTRATION

Volunteers are also needed to register the kids on Wednesday evenings. If you have the time to volunteer between 5:45—6:15pm it would be most appreciated!

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Whitney Platina and I am the Hide and Seek Director for Capital Christian Center. This spring, through this new musical, your children will have fun learning about the ultimate Kingdom that God has for us and the narrow path we must follow that leads to it. The King of Kings desires a relationship with all of us. Your children will have an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God and how they will respond to His calling on their life.

In Hide & Seek, we have three separate groups: “Glory Gang” K—1st grade; “Lift Him Up League” 2—4th grade; and “Praise Power Team” 5—8th grade.

In Hide & Seek we have a Motto and a Pledge:

Our Pledge:

“I will HIDE God’s word in my heart so that I will not sin against Him.”

Psalm 119:11

Our Motto:

SEEK first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

I cannot wait to kick off this spring semester with a new musical, new songs, and all of you! It is such a blessing to be able to teach your children.

I know I have not had the opportunity to meet all of you, but I look forward to in the future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our other wonderful choir leaders Leanne Wright (Glory Gang K-1st) and Sherri Lujan (Power Praise Team 4th—8th) for all their hard work and passion for this ministry. Also, thank you to the registration staff!  I look forward to this great season  ahead!
